Journal Guide

The Computer Journal is one of the longest-established journals serving all branches of the academic computer science community. It is currently published in four sections:Section A: Computer Science, Methods and Tools publishes high quality research papers, review articles and special issues in all computer science topics other than those covered in Section B. Topics for inclusion in Section A may include areas such as theory, algorithms, software engineering, data structures, and complexity.Section B: Networks and Computer Systems focuses on the latest ideas and research in computer systems and networks. This section is for researchers involved in the latest developments in topics such as architectures, mobile and wireless computing, network protocols, security, reliability and performance optimisation. In addition to research papers, this section will also publish commissioned reviews and special issues.Section C: Computational Intelligence builds builds on artificial intelligence, robotics and machine intelligence to develop smart methods and tools that solve challenging problems in areas such as data mining, image processing, knowledge-based systems and the semantic web.A fourth section, launched in 2011, is:Section D: Security in Computer Systems and NetworksThe Editors of the Journal welcome ideas for reviews and special issues for any section.

The Contemporary Pacific provides a publication venue for interdisciplinary work in Pacific studies with the aim of providing informed discussion of contemporary issues in the Pacific Islands region. It features refereed articles that examine social, economic, political, ecological, cultural, and literary topics. It also includes political reviews, book and media reviews, resource reviews, and a dialogue section that allows flexible publication of diverse genres of writing, including interviews and short essays. Each issue highlights the work of a Pacific Islander artist.

The Counseling Psychologist (TCP) focuses on timely topics in such diverse areas as counseling HIV-infected clients, counseling lesbian and gay clients, the counseling relationship, cross-cultural counseling, delayed memory, debate ethics, multicultural training supervision, victimization, and white racial identity.

The Court Historian: The International Journal of Court Studies is the leading periodical in the field of court studies. It presents new work by major authors and experts, exploring all dimensions of court life, from politics, palaces and war to dress, dining and gardens. Articles are fully referenced, peer-reviewed and frequently illustrated. Special issues have focused on coronations, the art of queenship, court cities, royal hunts and gift giving at court.  Each issue of The Court Historian contains up-to-date listings of court-related publications, exhibitions, conferences, events and sales, along with book and exhibition reviews and a comprehensive bibliography.

The Cryosphere (TC) is an international scientific journal dedicated to the publication and discussion of research articles, short communications and review papers on all aspects of frozen water and ground on Earth and on other planetary bodies.The main subject areas are:* ice sheets and glaciers;* planetary ice bodies;* permafrost, river and lake ice;* seasonal snowcover;* sea ice;* remote sensing, numerical modelling, in-situ and laboratory studies of the above and including studies of the interaction of the cryosphere with the rest of the climate system.The Cryosphere has an innovative two-stage publication process which involves a scientific discussion forum and exploits the full potential of the Internet to:* foster scientific discussion;* enhance the effectiveness and transparency of scientific quality assurance;* enable rapid publication;* make scientific publications freely accessible.In the first stage, papers that pass a rapid access-review by one of the editors are immediately published on the The Cryosphere Discussions (TCD) website. They are then subject to Interactive Public Discussion, during which the referee’s comments (anonymous or attributed), additional short comments by other members of the scientific community (attributed) and the author’s replies are also published in TCD. In the second stage, the peer-review process is completed and, if accepted, the final revised papers are published in TC. To ensure publication precedence for authors, and to provide a lasting record of scientific discussion, TCD and TC are both ISSN-registered, permanently archived and fully citable.

The Curriculum Journal is written for those professionals in the education services wishing to influence future directions in education for the better. It provides a much-needed forum for debate, publishing research into curriculum structure, organization and development in primary and secondary schools and further education.The Curriculum Journal is written for teachers and head teachers, advisors, managers and academics. It features articles on the whole curriculum, cross-curricular issues, assessment requirements and new approaches to teaching and learning. The Developing Economies is the official journal of the Institute of Developing Economies, JETRO, and publishes original research articles dealing with empirical and comparative studies on social sciences relating to the developing countries.
