Journal Guide

The Journal of Environmental Engineering and Landscape Management is a research journal produced by Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VGTU) and acknowledged by The Lithuanian Academy of Sciences and The International Academy of Ecological and Life Protection Sciences (IAELPS), which is an associate member of the Public Information Department of the United Nations.

The Journal of Environmental Engineering and Landscape Management is an international medium for the publication of original research on the environment with emphasis on changes caused by human activities and international research towards sustainability. The scope is multidisciplinary and international and the subjects covered include atmosphere and air pollution control and pollution mitigation technologies, water pollution control and pollution mitigation technologies, soil pollution control and pollution mitigation technologies, entrails of the earth, their protection, waste management, zero-waste technologies, environmental expertise, control over physical and technological environmental impacts and reduction technologies, nuclear hydro physics and radioactive pollution, modelling environmental processes, environmental monitoring, landscape protection, environmental ethics, environmental law and management, quality of indoor and outdoor environment. Besides, it publishes short reports and observations, reviews and bibliography, reports on conferences and workshops.

Publication of the Journal is funded by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Lithuania.

Starting from 1995, Journal of Environmental Engineering was published instead of proceedings from the previous research Environmental Protection of Vilnius Technical University (2 issues since 1993). For the period of 1995-1998, 6 issues were published (2 issues per year). From 1998, Journal of Environmental Engineering started to be published in volumes (1 volume, 4 issues per year). Since 2003, the Journal has been published under its current title - Journal of Environmental Engineering and Landscape Management - (1 volume, 4 issues per year) with proceeded issue numeration accepting the articles in English and Lithuanian.

Journal of Environmental Health Science & Engineering is a peer-reviewed journal presenting timely research on all aspects of environmental health science, engineering and management.

Journal of Environmental Informatics (JEI) is an international, peer-reviewed, and interdisciplinary publication designed to foster innovative research on systems science and information technology for environmental management. The journal aims to motivate and enhance the integration of environmental information and systems analysis to help develop management solutions that are consensus-oriented, risk-informed, scientifically-based and cost-effective.

Condensing essential information into just three issues a year, the Journal of Environmental Law has become an authoritative source of informed analysis for all those who have any dealings in this vital field of legal study. The journal exists for both legal practitioners and academics, but also proves accessible for all other groups concerned with the environment, from scientists to planners. The Journal of Environmental Management is a journal for the publication of peer reviewed, original research for all aspects of management and the managed use of the environment, both natural and man-made. Critical review articles are also welcome; submission of these is strongly encouraged.As governments and the general public become more keenly aware of the critical issues arising from man's use of his environment, this journal provides a forum for the discussion of environmental problems around the world and for the presentation of management results. The Journal of Environmental Pathology, Toxicology and Oncology publishes original research and reviews of factors and conditions that affect human and animal carcinogensis. Scientists in various fields of biological research, such as toxicologists, chemists, immunologists, pharmacologists, oncologists, pneumologists, and industrial technologists, will find this journal useful in their research on the interface between the environment, humans, and animals.

The Journal of Environmental Policy & Planning is an international journal that provides a forum for the critical analysis of environmental policy and planning. It explores the environmental dimensions of common policies such as transport, agriculture and fisheries, urban and rural policy, all stages in the policy and planning processes from formulation to implementation, and the interactions between governments and markets, the strategies of non-governmental organizations and business in relation to the environment, and land-use decision-making. The journal invites original papers from a political, social, economic, geographical, legal, cultural, and planning perspective to address any of the following areas: * Theoretical studies that enhance the understanding of the environmental policy process; * Analyses of environmental governance at different spatial levels; * Research into particular environmental problems, on a global, regional or local scale; * Contributions on policy instruments, environmental management and environmental and sustainability assessment techniques; * Comparative studies and evaluations of cross-national learning and policy development.
