Welcome to the University of Exeter Journal Guide

The Journal Guide helps you as a researcher at University of Exeter to identify open access options when publishing in different journals. Search by journal title, keywords or ISSN to discover journals in your research area. Check if journals are included in publisher agreements (discounts, or no APCs).

This is a new tool, we’d love your feedback: on this Microsoft form.

Mitochondrial DNA

ISSN: 1940-1736eISSN: 1940-1744

Previously published under the title DNA Sequence (Vols 1-19.3), Mitochondrial DNA accepts original high-quality reports based on mapping, sequencing and analysis of mitochondrial DNA and RNA. Descriptive papers on DNA sequences from mitochondrial genomes, and also analytical papers in the areas of population genetics, medical genetics, phylogenetics and human evolution that use mitochondrial DNA as a source of evidence for studies will be considered for publication. The editorial board will also consider manuscripts that examine population genetic and systematic theory that specifically address the use of mitochondrial DNA sequences, as well as papers that discuss the utility of mitochondrial DNA information in medical studies and in human evolutionary biology.Mitochondrial DNA publishes WebFirst. WebFirst is a method of publishing where a journal is made available as multiple online issues throughout the year, with a single print archive copy of the entire volume being published at the end of the year. Access to the online version is included in all subscriptions.

Mitochondrial DNA Part A

ISSN: 2470-1394eISSN: 2470-1408

Mitochondrial DNA Part A publishes original high-quality manuscripts on physical, chemical, and biochemical aspects of mtDNA and proteins involved in mtDNA metabolism, and/or interactions. Manuscripts on cytosolic and extracellular mtDNA, and on dysfunction caused by alterations in mtDNA integrity as well as methodological papers detailing novel approaches for mtDNA manipulation in vitro and in vivo are welcome. Descriptive papers on DNA sequences from mitochondrial genomes, and also analytical papers in the areas of population genetics, phylogenetics and human evolution that use mitochondrial DNA as a source of evidence for studies will be considered for publication. The Journal also considers manuscripts that examine population genetic and systematic theory that specifically address the use of mitochondrial DNA sequences, as well as papers that discuss the utility of mitochondrial DNA information in medical studies and in human evolutionary biology.

Please note, Mitochondrial DNA no longer accepts genome announcement papers. Submission of mitochondrial DNA announcements should be made to the new journal Mitochondrial DNA Part B: Resources .

Peer Review Statement
Mitochondrial DNA Part A is an international, peer-reviewed journal which publishes high quality, original research contributions to scientific knowledge. All manuscript submissions are subject to initial appraisal by the Editor, and, if found suitable for further consideration, to peer review by independent, anonymous expert referees. All peer review is single blind and submission is online via ScholarOne Manuscripts.

Mitochondrial DNA Part B: Resources publishes Mitochondrial DNA Announcement Papers (short reports on whole mitochondrial DNA genomes) and Short Communications. This open access sister journal to Mitochondrial DNA  Part A  will publish high-quality and concise manuscripts reporting the sequence of full mitochondrial genomes.  In addition, high-quality short communications focusing on the physical, chemical, and biochemical aspects of mtDNA and proteins involved in mtDNA metabolism, and/or interactions are encouraged. Manuscripts on cytosolic and extracellular mtDNA, and on dysfunction caused by alterations in mtDNA integrity as well as methodological papers detailing novel approaches for mtDNA manipulation in vitro and in vivo are welcome. Mitochondrion

ISSN: 1567-7249eISSN: 1872-8278

Mitochondrion is a definitive, high profile, peer-reviewed international research journal. The scope of Mitochondrion is broad, reporting on basic science of mitochondria from all organisms and from basic research to pathology and clinical aspects of mitochondrial diseases. The journal welcomes original contributions from investigators working in diverse sub-disciplines such as evolution, biophysics, biochemistry, molecular and cell biology, genetics, pharmacology, toxicology, forensic science, programmed cell death, aging, cancer and clinical features of mitochondrial diseases.Mitochondrion includes:MitoMatters: Editorial and news of general interest invited by Editorial Office.Profiles and Perspectives: Invited by Editorial Office and written by senior investigators in the field. The Mito Mew: Editorial and news of general interest.Review Articles: Reviews of major importance in mitochondrial biology. These articles will be peer-reviewed. Articles may be of any length; however, unusually long articles should be discussed with the editor before submission.Fast Track Articles: Peer-reviewed, short studies that are refereed rapidly and published generally within 10 weeks. These papers should be a concise complete piece of work of special significance and timeliness and should not exceed 4 printed pages (i.e., 10 pages of double-spaced typescript, including tables and figures up to a total number of 4).Original Articles: Peer-reviewed, high-quality, concise research investigations that represent new and significant contributions to science.Letters to the Editor: Comments on papers published in the Journal and on other matters of interest to mitochondria researcher.Book Reviews: invited by the editorial office.Announcements and Calendar: Providing notices of forthcoming meetings, courses, and other events relevant to mitochondria researchers.

Mljekarstvo : journal for dairy production and processing improvement

ISSN: 0026-704XeISSN: 1846-4025
DOAJ Logo

The magazine Mljekarstvo, as a scientific-professional magazine, is published quarterly. Although the magazine Mljekarstvo is not the oldest publication dealing with the production and processing of milk and dairy product issues, it is necessary to point out the fact that it is the only scientific - professional dairy magazine in Croatia with 58-year tradition of being published. The first issue, published by the Croatian Dairy Operators' Association, was published in 1951. In a paper at a Union conference held 28 October 1951 in Zagreb it was said: "Our desire is that this magazine does not meet the fate of its predecessors, but that it continues to reflect the creative efforts and to provide guidelines for the producers as well as all other operators employed in the dairy industry.".
