San Francisco Estuary and Watershed Science is established to provide the opportunity for on-line publication of peer-reviewed papers dealing with all aspects of the San Francisco Estuary, Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta, its upstream watersheds, and adjacent coastal ocean. Also appropriate are papers focused on other estuary watershed systems whose findings and conclusions are directly relevant to the issues of the San Francisco Estuary. Subjects considered appropriate for publication include any aspect of the physics, chemistry, geology, or biology of this large system. Particular emphasis will be placed on papers that bridge the individual technical disciplines and provide novel or informative insights into attributes and functioning of this system or similar systems elsewhere.Manuscripts may be submitted in any one of the following categories:*Editorials – Articles presenting the views of the Editors or Associate Editors. (Submissions in this category are reserved for the Editors or Associate Editors of the journal.)*Research Articles - Normal, full-length scientific reports and critical reviews.Notes - Short papers that present a single concept, idea, or method.*Essays - Scholarly, in depth, informed, and balanced perspectives or commentaries on topics of interest to members of the Bay-Delta Science Consortium.*Policy and Program Analyses - Technically sound and well documented reviews and analyses of important policy and programmatic issues relevant to the management and restoration of estuary-watershed systems and their resources.*Commentary - Critiques of data and interpretations in articles and notes already published in San Francisco Estuary and Watershed Science.*Research Monographs - Long reports (greater than 50 pages in length) that will occasionally be accepted to encourage the publication of single, coherent research reports on complex topics rather than two or more separate but interconnected reports.*Special Issues - Multi-chaptered reports that cover different aspects of important and timely topics.*Data Reviews - Comprehensive and critical reviews and summaries of available data on specific important subjects. Such reports must explicitly describe the potential questions and uses to which the data could be applied. Basic data reports, without interpretation or synthesis, will not be considered for publication.*Data Archive Documents - Supporting data sets, graphics, or data files that are referenced in San Francisco Estuary and Watershed Science articles.

The Scandinavian Journal of Forest Research publishes original articles relevant to forests and forestry of boreal and temperate regions, including the forestry-to-wood production chain. Scientia Horticulturae is an international journal publishing research related to horticultural crops. Articles in the journal deal with open or protected production of vegetables, fruits, edible fungi and ornamentals under temperate, subtropical and tropical conditions. Papers in related areas (biochemistry, micropropagation, soil science, plant breeding, plant physiology, phytopathology, etc.) are considered, if they contain information of direct significance to horticulture. Papers on the technical aspects of horticulture (engineering, crop processing, storage, transport etc.) are accepted for publication only if they relate directly to the living product. In the case of plantation crops, those yielding a product that may be used fresh (e.g. tropical vegetables, citrus, bananas, and other fruits) will be considered, while those papers describing the processing of the product (e.g. rubber, tobacco, and quinine) will not. The scope of the journal includes all horticultural crops but does not include speciality crops such as, medicinal crops or forestry crops, such as bamboo. Basic molecular studies without any direct application in horticulture will not be considered for this journal.Types of paper: 1. Original full papers (regular papers)2. Review articles (should cover a part of the subject of active current interest) 3. Short Communications - 3.1 Report of preliminary results of important research (pilot investigation: e.g. no duplications or with other restrictions) - 3.2 Newly developed methodology or modification of existing methodology, possibly description of first test. - 3.3 Results of the application of an earlier published research methodology on other crops or under different conditions (fact finding or recipes) that are nevertheless of interest to an international readership. Should include new scientific insight.4. Book Reviews (included in the journal on a range of relevant books which are not more than 2 years old).Original papers should report the results of original research and should be of international and not only regional interest. The material should not have been previously published elsewhere, except in a preliminary form. Reviews should cover a part of the subject active current interest. They may be submitted or invited.Short Communications should be as completely documented, both by reference to the literature and description of the experimental procedures employed, as a regular paper. Scientia Marina is the successor to Investigación Pesquera, a journal of marine sciences published since 1955 by the Institut de Ciències del Mar de Barcelona (CSIC). Scientia Marina is included in the Science Citation Index since 1998 and publishes original papers, reviews and comments concerning research in the following fields: Marine Biology and Ecology, Fisheries and Fisheries Ecology, Systematics, Faunistics and Marine Biogeography, Physical Oceanography, Chemical Oceanography, and Marine Geology. Emphasis is placed on articles of an interdisciplinary nature and of general interest.

Scientific Research and Essays (SRE) (ISSN 1992- 2248) is an open access journal with the objective of publishing quality research articles in science, medicine, agriculture and engineering. All papers published by SRE are blind peer reviewed. SRE is a very rapid response journal with two issues published every month.The following types of papers are considered for publication:* Original articles in basic and applied research.* Critical reviews, surveys, opinions, commentaries and essays.Manuscripts must be sent as e-mail attachment to sre.research.journal@gmail.com. SRE editorial board makes an objective and quick decision on each manuscript and informs the corresponding author within three weeks of submission.
