We are beginning to understand how communications at the rhizosphere, with soil organisms and other plant species, affect root exudates and nutrient uptake. This rapidly evolving subject utilizes molecular biology and genomic tools, food web or community structure manipulations, high performance liquid chromatography, isotopic analysis, diverse spectroscopic analytics, tomography and other microscopy, complex statistical and modeling tools.
Field experiments, microcosm experiments, and soil-free research will be considered. Research papers, technical or method papers, reviews, and commentaries are welcome. Papers discussing informative negative results will also be considered.
Rice is a peer-reviewed open access journal published under the brand SpringerOpen. Rice fills a critical need in basic and applied plant science journal publishing, offering the world™s only high-quality serial publication for reporting current advances in rice genetics, structural and functional genomics, comparative genomics, molecular biology and physiology, molecular breeding and comparative biology. Rice publishes review articles and original papers in all of the aforementioned areas and serves as the primary source of newly published information for researchers and students in rice and related research.
Rice Science is an international research journal sponsored by China National Rice Research Institute. It publishes original research papers, review articles, as well as short communications on all aspects of rice sciences in English language. Some of the topics that may be included in each issue are: breeding and genetics, biotechnology, germplasm resources, crop management, pest management, physiology, soil and fertilizer management, ecology, cereal chemistry and post-harvest processing.Benefits to authorsWe also provide many author benefits, such as free PDFs, a liberal copyright policy, special discounts on Elsevier publications and much more. Ringing & Migration is the journal of the British Trust for Ornithology Ringing Scheme. Published since 1975, the December issue incorporates the Trust's annual report on bird ringing in Britain & Ireland for the preceding year. The journal welcomes papers on all aspects of bird ringing and migration studies but gives lowest priority to papers involved with methodology alone. Members of the Editorial Board are very happy to advise first-time authors on the preparation of manuscripts. Ringing & Migration concentrates on birds that occur in the Western Palearctic but welcomes papers from any part of the world that are relevant to ringing and migration studies of Western Palearctic birds.Ringing & Migration publishes the following types of articles: Original research papers Short original research papers (around 1500 words in length) Scientific reviews Forum articles covering general ornithological issues, including non-scientific ones short feedback articles that make scientific criticisms of papers published recently in the Journal Critical book reviews.
RUSSIAN JOURNAL OF BIOLOGICAL INVASIONS (RJBI) publishes original scientific papers dealing with biological invasions of alien species in both terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems for the following subjects: description of invasion process (theory, modeling, results of observations and experiments): invasion corridors, invasion vectors, invader species adaptations, vulnerability of aboriginal ecosystems: monitoring of invasion process (reports about findings of organisms out of the limits of natural range, propagule pressure assessment, settling dynamics, rates of naturalization): invasion risk assessment: genetic, evolutional, and ecological consequences of biological invasions of alien species: methods, means of hoarding, processing and presentation of applied research data (new developments, modeling, research results, data base) with factual and geoinformation system applications: use of the results of biological invasion research (methods and new basic results) under the study of marine, fresh-water and terrestrial species, populations, communities and ecosystems: control, rational use and eradication of the harmful alien species.
The Russian Journal of Ecology (Ekologiya) publishes complete original studies in all branches of theoretical and experimental ecology, reviews and papers on topics currently in debate, information about new methods of investigation, book reviews, and chronicles.
Russian Journal of Genetics: Applied Research contains translations of papers selected from two leading Russian journals - Vavilovskii Zhurnal Genetiki I Selektsii (Vavilov Journal of Genetics and Breeding) and Ekologicheskaya genetika (Ecological Genetics). The main topics of the journal are: cell biology, cytogenetics, molecular biology, developmental genetics: plant, animal and human genetics: population and evolutionary genetics: microbial, plant and animal biotechnology: bioinformatics and systems biology. The journal also considers all aspects of ecological genetics including behavioral genetics, human ecological genetics, environmental and genetic toxicology, emerging diseases, mutagenesis and carcinogenesis, simbiogenetics, aging, genetic models in ecology
The Russian Journal of Marine Biology covers a wide range of research and applied aspects of marine biology as a synthetic science in the study of marine biota and environment. Coverage includes fundamental research on biological processes at molecular, cellular, organism and population levels in marine organisms. The journal also publishes papers dedicated to events in Russian and international marine biological science and the history of biology. It will benefit scientists and specialists at research institutes, universities, and other educational establishments and for laboratory researchers working in fisheries and aquaculture.
The Russian Journal of Plant Physiology (Fiziologiya Rastenii) is the most popular journal in phytophysiology in the former Soviet Union. It embraces the full spectrum of plant physiology, bringing together the related aspects of biophysics, biochemistry, cytology, anatomy, genetics, etc. The journal publishes experimental and theoretical papers, reviews, short communications, and descriptions of new methods. Regular space is devoted to chronicles from Russian and international symposia, anniversary articles, and reviews of new books. Some issues cover special problems of plant physiology, presenting collections of papers and providing information in rapidly growing fields. The journal is a valuable resource for university and research departments, libraries, scientists, and post-graduates as a regular and reliable source of information.
